Apple & Blueberry Puff
Ingredients
2 Sheets of puff pastry
1 Baking Tray
3 Large baking apples
1 punnet of blueberries
2 oz Castor sugar
1 egg beaten
Method
Peel the baking apples and cut into small pieces.
Unroll the pastry sheets and lay one sheet onto your baking tray. Evenly spread the raw apple slices along with the blueberries onto the pastry base. Sprinkle the castor sugar over the top. Brush the beaten egg along the edge of the pastry base and place the scored pastry sheet on top of the pastry base. Press together the edges to create a seal. Using the beaten egg brush the pastry top all over and sprinkle with sugar.
Place in the main oven on shelf position 10, counting from the bottom upwards.
Select the G button for Genus mode and select programme 1.
Enter 25 minutes into the timer and the oven will calculate down itself to the Genus time.
If you prefer your pastry cooked a little longer you can always add another minute at the end of the cooking time or take away a minute if you prefer you pastry a little lighter.
To Cook Conventionally – Set oven on 200°C and preheat for 15 minutes and cook for approximately 25 minutes.
