Vegetable Parcels
Ingredients
Baby carrot
Baby sweetcorn
Pepper sliced into strips
Asparagus
Lean streaky bacon
Topping
1 tablespoon of mustard
1 desert spoon of clear honey
Method
Lay out 1 piece of streaky bacon and put 1 baby carrot, 1 baby sweetcorn, 1 strip of pepper and 1 asparagus inside the bacon and roll around the vegetables starting from one end. The vegetables become a wrapped parcel, then push through a cocktail stick to keep the parcel closed. Lay your vegetable parcels out onto a baking tray.
Topping:
Mix together 1 tablespoon of whole grain mustard with 1 desert spoonful of clear honey.
With a brush spread a layer of mustard and honey topping over each parcel.
Place in the main oven on shelf position 5 (Always count the shelf positions from the bottom of the oven upwards).
Select the G button and press programme 1.
Enter 15 minutes into the timer and the oven will calculate down itself to the Genus time.
If at the end of cooking you would prefer your parcels a little crispier then add another minute. You can always add or take away minutes to perfect your food to the way you like it.
To Cook Conventionally – Set oven on 200°C and preheat for 15 minutes and cook for approximately 15 minutes.
